Woking self-reviewed in October 2018 concluding that there was no immediate need to modify the Core Strategy either in part or as a whole.
In terms of unmet need, Woking has an unmet need of 225 DPA.
(i) Guildford - the plan makes no allowance in the housing figure in Guildford’s Plan for Woking’s unmet need (see IR 24-38 in the examining Inspector’s report on Guildford’s Plan). However this can be accommodated within the Guildford Local Plan’s “headroom”.
(ii) Waverley’s Plan meets 50% of Woking’s unmet need (83 DPA through the life of Waverley’s Plan).
