Housing numbers taken from Reg 18 draft plan (September 2022). Based upon the standard method, the housing need for Tonbridge & Malling is 839 DPA (2021). This translates to a gross need across the plan period of 15,941 dwellings or 9,245 net across the period 2021-2040. The council considers that the only reasonable approach to take is to meet the assessed need for housing in full, as directed by the NPPF. Numbers subject to change!
