The council will enable the delivery of new homes to help meet London's housing needs and local housing needs by aiming to deliver at least 6,405 new homes over the plan period 2016-2031 (427 homes per annum), subject to any subsequent borough target approved by the Mayor of London over the plan period. The 2021 London Plan's 10 year target for net housing completions (2019/20 -2028/29) for Sutton is 4,690 dwellings.
