We will seek to maximise the supply of housing in the borough to meet housing need in a manner that is consistent with sustainable development principles. Hounslow aims to deliver a minimum of 28,840 homes by 2041. We will meet and exceed our London Plan derived target of 1,782 homes per annum over the period 2020-2029, delivering more than the 16,038 homes required by 2029. For the remainder of the plan period (2029/30-2040/41) our housing target is set following the capacity based approach set out in London Plan 1, and will deliver at least a further 12,000 homes, equivalent to 1,000 homes per annum.
