18) Strategic Policies Local Plan 2021-2041 consultation (March 2024). See page 15 "Under the present system, the standard method shows that around 805 dwellings per year over the next 20 years are required in Herefordshire to meet current housing need. This adds up to 16,100 dwellings during the plan period. (The plan period covers 20 years starting from 2021.) However, 6,512 homes have either already been built or granted planning permission since April 2021. Therefore, this means that the Local Plan needs to provide for only approximately 9,608 dwellings up to 2041."
