The nationally calculated housing need for Hastings is 430 homes a year, equating to 8,600 over the Local Plan period. The Council have identified sites that could sustainably deliver 4,275 homes over the life of the new Local Plan. The housing target is less than half of the amount nationally set.
Year 1 – 5 (2019/20 – 2025/6) 1,169 (TOTAL);
Year 6 – 10 (2026/27 – 2030/31) 1,610 (TOTAL);
Year 11 – 20 (2031+) 1,495 (TOTAL).
