The Revised Strategy (Oct-23) proposes delivering 14,344 homes in total between 2024 and 2040 - 897 DPA. This is a reduction from the Emerging Strategy for Growth consultation (Nov-20), which followed the Government’s target of 1018 new homes per year. The number of new homes delivered has reduced because the LPA propose removing sites that they have assessed as being constrained by environmental factors (including the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and planning policies (Green Belt).
