Post-hearing advice from Inspectors: "For reasons to be set out in our final report, we are satisfied with the Council’s approach to provide 1,320 homes within the Plan towards meeting Derby’s unmet need, with further provision to be made through a new Plan under Policy MR1. However, this figure should be reflected within the housing requirement. When added to the Local Housing Need figure of 351 dwellings per annum (dpa) the annual requirement for the Borough will be 424 dpa with a Plan requirement of 7,632 dwellings." Advice additionally recommends that the Council redraft Policy MR1 committing to undertake preparation of a new Plan on adoption.
